Copper Spur Platinum Backpacking Tent
The Copper Spur Platinum Series offers incredibly light, full-featured, free-standing tents with two doors, making it the ideal choice for those who prioritize weight. The tents come with features that were previously only available in heavier models, including a nylon rip-stop fly with two vestibules, interior storage pockets, and a sleek, colored mesh body that provides privacy while still allowing for night-time star gazing. The materials used in the tents include PVC, Polyester, Polyurethane, Mesh, and Nylon.
This is the lightest two door, full-featured, free-standing Big Agnes double-wall tent available on the market, and it features two doors and two vestibules with storm flaps on vestibule zippers. The large dual zipper door allows for easy entry and closure, while the Quick Stash on tent body door makes stowing unzipped door quick and easy. The tent is ready to pitch, with pre-cut guy lines and tensioners attached to the fly, reflective guylines and webbing on tent corners, easy grip zipper pulls, 4 interior mesh pockets, and 8 superlight aluminum J stakes.
The fly and floor of the tent are silicone treated nylon rip-stop with a 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating, while the tent body is made of polyester mesh. All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape, with no PVC or VOC's used. The tent also features a DAC Featherlite NFL pole system and ultralight plastic clips to attach the tent body to the pole frame.
The 2P tent packs down to 5 x 17 in. at 2 lbs, 10 oz, while the 3P tent packs down to 6.5 x 20.5 in. at 3 lbs 4 oz.
